Training (24/1/07)

.
Today was the release of the olevels results of 2007. Congratulations to past npcc cadets who have graduated and achieved their desired scores. For those that did not do so well, do not feel discouraged, put in your best effort for other major exams, so that you will not regret one day.

There was training today. The sec1s continued to play team-bonding games while the sec2s did a recap on their drills. The sec2s are lacking confidence when doing their drills, resulting in lack of sharpness and sub-standard drills. However, if they put in effort in brushing up on their drills, they have the potential to do well. The sec3s had their NCO course. The day ended shortly and we look forward to the next week's training.

Tomorrow will be the 1st NPDP training. Some of the sec4 NCOs have been selected and hope that they take this chance to perfect their drills and have fun making new friends!

HRC

.
Today, 21 sec4 NCOs were involved in the High Rope Challenge (HRC). There was high elements, much higher then any high elements the sec4s have experienced before. The highlight of the event was the 25m tall (7 storeys high) flying fox. It was a exhilirating experience for all and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. There were several other high elements to experience and even though it was a hot and tiring day, the weariness was worth the fun.

The NPDP (National Police Day Parade) training is also going to begin soon, starting next friday. A few of the sec4 NCOs are selected to be involved in this programme. Hope they learn something meaningful from the training and make more friends. The campcraft team is also training hard every week consistently in preparation for the prelimary rounds on the 15th and 22nd feb for boys and girls respectively. Train hard and the efforts will pay off!

1st training for sec1s..

.
Today was the 1st training session for the new sec1 cadets. Ice-breaking games were played, and they enjoyed the games quite a lot. The sec1s are quite responsive and some have showed enthusiasm during the ice-breaking games. A few of the cadets are still shy and not sure of what is happening in npcc, but as time goes, I am sure they will settle down and get along well with life in npcc. Since the sec1s have joined in our big family, they are one of us, and we hope more bonding and fun is to come.

Also, the High Rope Challenge (HRC) is happening on the 19jan, this coming saturday. Several sec4 NCOs are involved in the HRC and hope that the NCOs will have a meaningful and fun time there. There will be high elements which include obstacle courses and flying fox, etc. This will be a great exposure for the NCOs and a time for them to conquer their fear of heights and boost their confidence. Have fun!

CCA Open House 2008

.
CCA Open House 2008

Overall, it was a job well done. The fancy drill team put up a steady performance, and it was the 1st time we had a flag party for the fancy drill performance. Cadets did a great job by pulling in some sec1s and persuaded them to join our big family. Thanks to the Cadet Inspectors and seniors for coming to show ur support. Lastly, a big thanks to everyone for making this event a success!
